In honor of Asian American\/Pacific Islander (AAPI) Month, we\u2019d like to lift up the wisdom of some of the pioneering researchers, practitioners, and policymakers who have played a key role in advancing SEL and built a field that strives to support all children, young people, and adults.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n<div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/5w_dl8E5P98QXVlSSLFaCJo7t42lvSv_yk3h5w9QJ1o8lbz9YWLijP8BgY-OF9K9u5PBhFC-AbloYU_A6BeD9hy2gr8YZuZhnZquG_uqggCMNOQuFRlpC7lULMVOSd-hPtet9tCjbkQDuiLVgQ-QG_k\" style=\"width: 1000px;\"><\/td><td><em>\u201cA lot of the work is about reminding people that SEL is not an end in itself, but how we think, process, and create conditions to support student learning.\u201d<\/em><br><br><strong>Mai Xi Lee<\/strong>, Director of SEL, Sacramento County Office of Education<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/qaoyb3A8ZTXsBPm7rIk2EJhO3VXNTulsfQ5OpDwWK1DCiH_dVPtPQK7HdxE8YaKkslG2ENpKy3CpJvmEpXs8e94jGTKWW5bBimetww-69lw2-KdjxHu5Tdy6_L033kviA-yilOKRIbTeJu7nPPcRPXo\" style=\"width: 1000px;\"><\/td><td><em>\u201cA great teacher cares so much about their kids, and if they do that, they\u2019re going to do a lot of the things that I study\u2026 The motivation is this amazing love.\u201d<\/em><br><br><strong>Angela Duckworth<\/strong>, founder and former CEO of Character Lab &amp;
