SEL Fellows are passionate about SEL, dedicated to their own discovery and development, and responsible for leading SEL in their community. The sessions will focus on your own SEL leadership development and dive deep into the CASEL framework for systemic implementation. Collaboration with Journey Partners allows for honest conversations to enhance peer learning that will move your practices forward.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CASEL Mentor<\/strong>: Fellows can opt into having a mentor from the broader CASEL community to support their Capstone project. Each mentor pairing will meet three times over the course of the Fellows Academy experience to support the Fellow through the Capstone project process \u2013 from brainstorming to developing to presenting to leadership.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You will have access to the CASEL team and high-quality resources to support your ongoing work.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Learning HUB platform<\/strong>: A digital community platform is offered exclusively to SEL Fellows to connect with the cohort and CASEL. As a learning community, we dive into the fundamentals of transformative social and emotional learning, looking at implications for ourselves as SEL leaders and also on implementation. More specific explorations of inquiries, such as how transformative SEL can shape arts education, could be a powerful launching point for an individual Fellows Capstone project.<\/span><\/p>\n\n          <\/li>\n        <\/ul>\n      <\/div>\n    <\/li>\n    <\/ul>\n      <ul class=\"accordion-list\">\n      <li class=\"accordion-wrap accordion-wrap-faqs\">\n      <label for=\"certificate-5\">\n        Will there be a certificate or credentialing at the end of the program?\n      <\/label>\n      <input type=\"checkbox\" id=\"certificate-5\" class=\"js-accordion-trigger\">\n      <div class=\"accordion-outer\">\n        <ul>\n          <li>\n            <p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">SEL Fellows who participate in the Academy, completing a Capstone project and engaging as active members of the learning community, can share that they are CASEL SEL Fellows Academy Alumni at the conclusion of the experience. They will also be considered an SEL Fellows Academy alumni which includes continued partnership and connection to CASEL and the alumni network. There will not be credentialing offered. CASEL will provide a certificate of completion at the end of the 10-month Academy.<\/span><\/p>\n\n          <\/li>\n        <\/ul>\n      <\/div>\n    <\/li>\n    <\/ul>\n      <ul class=\"accordion-list\">\n      <li class=\"accordion-wrap accordion-wrap-faqs\">\n      <label for=\"involved-5\">\n        Will leadership from my district or region be involved?\n      <\/label>\n      <input type=\"checkbox\" id=\"involved-5\" class=\"js-accordion-trigger\">\n      <div class=\"accordion-outer\">\n        <ul>\n          <li>\n            <p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Leadership engagement is a critical driver of meaningful and sustainable SEL implementation, and therefore, it\u2019s built to be a pillar of the SEL Fellows Academy experience. Starting with the application of interest, prospective Fellows are required to upload a letter of support, ideally from their Superintendent or from their Supervisor (see the application for more details). That said, our work together focuses on building our individual capacity as leaders and SEL implementation experts, so that Fellows are best prepared to lead high-quality collaboration within their own contexts.
